Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Included are some great links to get you ready for the upcoming school year.
Top 10 Must Knows 10. Plan to attend PV’s Back to School Night on August 12th, from 5:30 -b6:30 PM. Swing by your classroom to meet your child's teacher and drop off school supplies, then stick around and mingle with other PV families. 9. Please help us represent Prospect Valley at the annual Carnation Festival Parade at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 10th. Our theme this year is Jurassic Park! Channel your inner dinosaur and help us roar our way down 38th Avenue! PV spirit wear is a great alternative if you misplaced your dinosaur PJ's. Look for more details via the Prospect Valley PTA Facebook Group. 8. August 15th is the first official day of school for 1st - 5th grades. PV does a soft start for kindergarten. Kindergarten students with last names A-K will attend only on August 15th. Kindergarten students with last names L-Z will attend only on August 16th. The first full day for all kindergartners will be August 19th. All other grades will start full school days on August 15th. 7. Join us on the first day of school (August 15th) for the principal's welcome message. We will gather on the main plaza by the front entrance. This is an opportunity to meet the PV leadership team as we enjoy provided coffee and pastries. 6. Curriculum Night is August 29th. This is your opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher about expectations for the year. Kindergarten - 5PM Grades 1-5 - 5:30PM and 6PM (2 sessions) 5. Assessment days for grades K-5 will be held on August 23th & 26th. Families will sign up for a 3-hour session on one of those two days from 8:00 - 11:00 AM OR Noon - 3:00 PM. Students will not attend school outside of their 3-hour testing session on 8/23 and 8/26. More details will be provided by your child's teacher. 4. Get Involved! Get Involved! Get Involved!
